We are Third Emissary, a team of artists making action figures that wouldn't get made otherwise. Parasite Suit will be our first independent release, but each of us has years of relevant experience in design and manufacturing (We're also big toy nerds but that doesn't lead to deliverables). We understand placing an order with a new and small shop can be concerning, and we aim to build trust by being open about our timelines and targets.
Factors that we believe you should know:
- Items will be manufactured on demand. There will be no surplus inventory.
- Preorders will be used to fund manufacturing.
- Third Emissary is a workers cooperative and no members are able to commit full-time yet.
We will be very communicative throughout the production process. We have seen too many crowdfunded projects disappear from the internet after collecting money. We commit to the following:
- Provide public updates on social media at least once a week (Twitter and Instagram).
- Respond to direct messages and emails within 5 business days (We cannot guarantee responses to social media posts).
- During periods of little-to-no news (factory lead time, shipping, test shot feedback, etc.), we will share updates about possible future products.
